The island of Groix
The island of Groix is part of Le Pays de Lorient. From Lorient you may cross to the island, 8km by 4km realm of sheer for one day journey. Getting around the island by walking or cycling and look with admiration dramatic cliffs, sheltered and sandy beaches.
Vannes - 58 km - 50 mn.
Vannes is built in the shape of an amphitheatre at the head of the Morbihan Gulf. The old quarter features the ramparts and pedestrian streets, elegant shops established in old town mansions. Behind its remparts, Vannes has remained more or less untouched since the 16th century.
Quiberon - 65 km - 50 mn.
Conserverie la Belle-Iloise + bonbons Niniches. For decades, the Belle Iloise cannery maintains the tradition of gourmet fish products on the Quiberon peninsula. Voted the best industrial Tourist Attraction in Brittany.

Carnac is one of the world’s greatest megalithic sites. The famous alignments of menhirs offer you the unique sight of nearly 3000 standing stones erected by men 5000 years ago. Carnac-Plage, a charming seaside city offering thalassotherapy and fine shops.
Josselin - 72 km - 60 mn.
The castel is a remarkable memorial to fendal architecture in the Renaissance period. The Rohan family still occupies the castel today. Family collection of dolls and toys.
Concarneau - 57 km - 60 mn.
The second largest fishing port of France. One of its main feature is the 14th century “Ville Close” (walled city), built in the center of the harbour.
Pont-Aven - 43 km - 35 mn.
The pretty Pont-Aven is situaded on the River Aven. The heart of the city remembers the colony of painters who made the place famous by the end of the 19th century.
Quimper – 70 km – 50 mn.
“Ville d’Art et d’Histoire” thanks to the quality of its architectural heritage which features Saint Corentin’s cathedral, the 16th and 17th century houses below its ramparts, the quays along the River Odet. Quimper is the historic capital of “Cornouaille”
