The port of La Rochelle is one of the most accessible ports from the open sea on the French Atlantic coast and can accommodate vessels up to 13.5 m draught, and with only 45 minutes piloting. Situated in a picturesque bay, the port is naturally sheltered by the islands of Ré and Oléron. La Rochelle is the gateway to the Cognac Country.
